TypeCon

Process

This project required designing a visual identity system for TypeCon, an annual conference that explores typography in different forms. Type on Display explores the impact display typography has on a large audience of people. It draws attention to the interconnection of emotions people feel through viewing bold and characteristic type. The final project includes a conference poster that advertises the event, a schedule for the event, and merchandise that conference attendees would recieve.

The poster is inspired by the new york subway system, while showcasing a display typeface. The grid-like structure of subway lines and signage serves as the backbone that carries consistently across the visual identity system.
